Once.. Twice.. Three Christmases

Hello everyone, you know i never thought i would be sick of eating sweets i never want to see another one again. It is not that i ate so many it is a mixture of the smell in the air as well. I swear i feel my teeth tingle just thinking about all those sweets. I also like to say i got 85% on my bio and Math 31 finals; I am very proud of that. I did not do as well in chem 30 though but i was still able to acquire a desired mark. This Sunday i will be visiting my relatives in Saskatchewan; I have not seen them in five years it will be good to see them. I guess i have run out of things to say other than i hope everybody is having a wonderful holiday and happy new year.

my mind's just buzzin

Hello everyone i have two more days of exams then i will officially be done upgrading. I have all of bio to study and math 31 to do then that is it. You ever actually feel your brain go numb not metaphorically but literally, because i have experience this before. It is the weirdest feeling in the world. Something was happening in front of me that was just so stupid and not brain stimulating at all my brain actually went numb. When i hear the term mind numbing work or something like that i can actually say i know what that feels like. I am not bragging that is for sure. But for 10 second i felt like i was actually becoming dumber. Anyways enough of that i need full brain power coming this Tuesday and Wednesday. I guess i have nothing else to say today so merry Christmas or what ever you celebrate and a happy new year.

Near the end

   Hello everybody i can't believe this year is almost over, it feels like it was yesterday i missed our first meeting and feeling horrible about it. But also at the same time really exciting because i am really excited about next year and see what new challenges that will face me that year. Hopefully one of them will be university. It is amazing how our I Ho Chuan team started, we started out with so many people in the office that there was no were to sit, to just a bit smaller group near this end of ours, but this smaller group we have has made me a stronger and better person. I no longer feel like in the I Ho Chuan that i am being cruelly judged for any little mistake i do, but actually i am  fully supported in anything i try to do. (By the way that cruelly judged thing is just how i felt when i was full blown socially shy and even scared of the group).
     And now something totally unrelated I find it funny that everybody has this urge to hit Sihing Robinson when he is lying down, even i find the urge, not a hard hit of course. But it is like we are moths, then he lies down, it is like a light was just turned on and now everybody must hit him. This is all in good fun though everyone laughs when it happens even Sihing Robinson.
    Anyways back to what i was writing about, so i guess i say "goodbye this year and thanks for showing me what i was capable of and introducing to me new friends" and "BRING IT!!  next year i am not facing you alone, because i have a Kung Fu Team that will help me conquer you".

Healthy meal #11

hello this is just a healthy soup idea i had so enjoy!


1  can low-sodium canellini beans
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 large onion
2 carrots 
2 stalks celery
1 small zucchini, 
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme leaves 
2 tsp chopped fresh sage leaves
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 cups low-sodium chicken broth or vegetable broth
1  can no salt added diced tomatoes
2 cups of baby spinach leaves


If you want you can add any kind of meat to it if you want.

2 km run

Hello everyone, I have just did something I have not done since my first boot camp. I was able to run the whole 2 km without stopping, after san sao class. With the help of sihing krebs. It was not the fastest run, but i did it, and i could of not done it without sihing krebs. On the 7th lap i wanted to stop and start to walk, but it was sihing kreb who pushed me forward giving, me enough strength to finish the rest of the way running. So i would like to invite anybody who is interested on Tuesday to come run with me after san sao, around 8:30 P.M. I will assure you  that i will make it every Tuesday. Also I am hoping to eventually to increase the number of kms i can do, but with hard work and determination i will do it some day. It was definitely a hard run for me, but i have not felt so happy about my running in so long, and also happy with myself. So once again thank you Sihing Krebs for pushing me and i hope we will be able to continue this routine, work permitted. I never thought i would feel so over joyed with running. Not immediately but a little after i am done running. Kung fu, school, work, life all being balanced on this crazy looking titter totter, yet i have never felt more ecstatic to do it all.

So Fasts

Hello well time sure fly's by it feels like only yesterday when we started I Ho Chuan. Coming near the end i find myself reflect on the past on what i had accomplished this year in the i ho chuan team and in my personal life. I have realized that i have  become more vocal of a person at Kung fu and at my school. I have learned how to use sais, and i have almost completed one of my personal requirement to get 80% on all 30 level courses. Here is a list of which course are in the 80's Math30 pure, physics 30, Bio 30, Chem 30, even math31 happy about that one, i am not done the last three yet but my marks are above 80 right now. Although i am not blind to the failure i have committed in the past either. if anything i embrace them, because those failure teach me what  i should do for next year so i do not mess them up again. Like always keep engage with the little things because they are just as important as the big things in your life that you have to do. Also i learned that if your not giving your best then your not actually participating or your sick. Also like what level of engagement are you at 10 being the best or 7 or 8 or less. I strive for 10 and try to maintain 10, because  it is just so much more fun when you are trying to be your best. well i guess that is all i have to say for this blog until next time remain extraordinary and never ordinary.

upgrading almost done

I can't wait till i finish upgrading this is my last semester which has math 31 bio 30 and chem 30. SO all i have to do is get through that then i wait to see if i get into U of A. I did not know this at the time but i accidentally applied to U of A 1 year in advance. when i was finishing it up i realized after i applied that the course i am trying for is only available in September. So this blog i don't have much to say other than a report on how school is doing, and life is going. Also, i am finally almost over this little sickness i have had for awhile, so all good news around.

Healthy Meal 10

 hello sorry my blog is a bit late i have just been really sick lately i just found out that i have bacteria ammonia it is not as bad as ammonia, but it still sucks, But here is a meal it is not much but this is all i could come up with right now in my current condition

5oz lean pork
1 apple 
1cup brown rice
For veggies you can just use what ever your into, i personally like mushrooms and a little bit of onion, but because of the apple it makes thing taste a little different 
For spices i did not use any since this was my first time trying apple in a dish like this so if you want to try go right ahead.

push up picks






Demo vision

Hello everyone well our demo went awesome and the weirdest thing happen to me i was sick to my stomach and super scared to perform in front of  people. But when i started to do the form and do the five techniques with sihing Robinson  i gained, what i am calling, "demo vision". When  i started i know longer could see other people watching me or even the fact that i was doing it in front of people. It was like i was doing all of it with just me and sihing Robinson. I do not even remember people watching me do the form or the five techniques with sihing Robinson. even the bowing. It was like my body took over and i zoned out. It was not until the all of the demo was finally finished until i realized what just happen. To tell you the truth i really don't know what to call it, but it happen. All i know is that was the first time that i performed in front of other people and i was not scared or feeling like puking, i may have had some pre feelings of that, but not when the demo started, i was in another world, the world of kung fu.

Kung fu

Hello everyone, i am sorry if it seemed like i have given up, but i have not. It just the decision not to go for my black belt hit me harder than i thought it would. At first there was some relief then i felt guilty, then i felt a little depressed for awhile. But i just went to kung fu and realize that i was being childish, If i am not meant to go for it this year then i will train harder for next year, because something i had too relearn is that kung fu is more than about the black belt it is what you are willing to accomplish to get it, and who's people lives you can change in the process. It does not have to be someone else, , it could be you, but in that process you help someone else to become a greater martial artist for it. So weather i get my black belt next year or the next it does not matter, because it will happen when i am ready, and only i can make it possible, but thankfully i do not have to, because there is an awesome support group that we surround ourselves daily when we go to kung fu. Of course i know i have to still try my hardest to achieve a lot of my personal goals, but i know there is help if i need it. kung fu is the extraordinary in my life , it is the most positive thing in my life. Kung fu make me want to do better in life and in my martial arts. So for now i say thank you kung Fu for everything you have done for me and help me attain a few more friend that i did not have before. When you are feeling down remember we are here for you

Healthy meal #9 (side)

Hello i almost forgot the healthy meal of the month, but this one is more of a side but still good

4 oz of crab (if you are able to find fresh or frozen it should still work)
1 Avocado
1 small red onion 
1 jalapeno pepper
2 sticks of celery
1 1/2 tablespoon of mayo
Some lime zest and squeeze some lime into it 
some Cilantro or parsley

This is a cold side and again recommend Mrs. dash for the seasoning. for me i added some hot peppers to spice it up. Also with the avocado it is easier to eat it when it is out of the skin, the avocado is not in the mix but it is apart of it if you want to try and put it in the mix let me know if it taste better nixed or not mixed, because i tried it not mixed first, but i am sure to try this again

blogging

     Hello you know i have notice something about blogging, when ever i feel frustrated or overwhelmed, or even sad or happy. I notice "I blog about it" For me it is like telling someone my problems or accomplishments; i am letting other people read what i have to say. I could almost say it is therapeutic. When I'm confused i "Blog about it" when i feel like it is just to much "I Blog about it" I may not be the best talker or writer, but i do it anyways. I don't always blog for other people, but mainly for myself. I think it... "I Blog about it". I am saying "I Blog about it" so much because, it is almost the new way of talking about it. What is your problems? How is life going, are you struggling? Theses are some things what some people might talk about it. But if you are someone like me who is shy and timid(but working on not being shy and timid) this is a nice release. Blogging is not just for releasing problems it is also about telling about your achievements as well. When your are so excited you want to tell someone and there is no one around to tell you guess it "Blog about it". Blogging is one of the small thing that can keep you engaged in your life. If you make yourself responsible for yourself that you should be writing a blog once a week the more engaged you we be in your own life. For me it make me pay more attention. Anyways if anybody ever has problems or success just "Blog About it"

Demos

    Hello everyone, we just did our demo in front for our class tonight and i a sure you i wanted to throw up so  bad, my stomach was hurting so bad. Once we finished the demo i was relived and still wanted to throw up. But it was not over we had to do it again my stomach was turning all over again. Waiting for your turn to go up there, last time i did that i was in super panic mode a messed everything up. This time i was still nervous,but i was trying to calm myself down by breathing and focusing on what i was supposed to do. In the end i never threw up and just got some critiques that i will improve upon. Public anything i guess you could say is my worse fear, because i feel like they will judge me and horrible ream me for doing one little thing wrong. I am learning that people just want to see you succeed, and are supportive of what you do. I am still not saying i am completely over my fears, but i think i am getting closer. The whole demo team did awesome, and i am nervously waiting for the live demo to start happening. Can't Wait!

yeah vacation

hey everyone i am super excited that i am going on vacation and i can't wait to do some random area's of just stop and do push ups. I am sure to also take picture of them. So can't wait. Also, even knowing that i am going on vacation i have mapped out time for my self so i can work on my kung fu and still have a great vacation, but then again what is a vacation without Kung Fu. I also hope that the dragon training goes well, and that there is more than just 9 people. When i was doing the thursday practices at 7:15 P.M almost every practice was me holding my breath hoping enough people will show so i hope the other I HO Chuan members step up to the plate and give some dragon practice a shot.  From the greatest struggles come the greatest gain. I don't know if it is a quote from someone, but to me it makes sense. Ali the boxer was thought to lose his first heavy weight championship, but won in the end. to me it seems that the more people struggle to achieve what they want, the more they appreciate what they have accomplished. It is a old lesson taught by most parents. you want something you work for it. But most people who do not have to work hard or struggle to achieve there goal seem to take it for granted. like they deserve to have it just because. So for other i ho chuan member out there if you feel like your struggling (including me sometimes) remember you only get better by trying harder and working smarter, And when we eventually complete the U.B.B.T program we will be the better for it, because we always struggle to do it, but figure it out somehow. We struggle together and we all appreciated it more because of it, after we accomplish it. I believe in this team.

craming for the finals

Hello once again the final have come and i have to study for phys 30 and Chem 30 prep finals. I have to be honest but i have fallen behind on my push ups and sit ups. I still get some in but not as much as i would like. I am studying so much right now. These are the time where i feel like I manage my time horribly, because i put a lot more focus on my school and ease of on my kung fu. After finals are over though i have mapped out a plan for myself to get back some of those missed days of kung fu where i did nothing that was related to kung fu. When I go on my holiday i will fight tooth and nail to do my push ups and sit ups in the morning, because i wake up at 5 in the morning when i go on vacation. I will be leaving on Mon Aug 13 and be back on the 27th so i hope people will show up more for Thursday's, because it has been getting better but some times you have to hold your breath just to see if enough people will be making it. So that is what is happening with me. Bring up your spirits and let's to this thing yay!

Healthy meal #7

Hey everyone here is another healthy meal. THis meal will feed four

Canola oil 2 tsp
Pork tenderloin, trimmed of fat  16 oz
low sodium prepared chicken broth  1/3 cup
Apricot jam  3tbsp
Jalapeno pepper, finely diced          1
Mushrooms 1cup
Onion   1

Season the way you see fit 
I put some pepper Mrs. Dash, some garlic clove and whatever might taste good

For some garnish chop up some cilantro or parsley ( not needed but nice touch)

blogging troubles

Hello i do not know what to say today, other then i hope everyone is doing well and is in good health. Sorry for not being able to write more. I just find it so hard to write about life and what i am doing. Or even if it is kung fu related. I am a person who does the same thing every day and my day to day rituals is almost always the same, but today my mind draws a blank and writing this is the best i can think of. Busy Week

Hi everyone two days and two birthdays. Started the first birthday with working in the moring for 9 hrs of merchandising theen i had to help throw a birthday party for my friend, but it all went well. Theyyyn thre second birthday i had to help my aunt move her pellet stove from her garage to her house, with no dolly, and the distance was about 30 feet. So not that bad, then i had to help her get ready for her birthday party, and once again it all went well. Also, i was not able to get my full number for my push ups and sit up and forms that day, but i did as many as i could. To tell you the truth i like having busy days it lets me know that i am acomplishing something, not always everything, but something. Well that is all I have to say today, everybody enoy the rest of your week!!

Just saying Hello

Well, Hello once again my day today was full of studying and kung fu. So pretty uneventful, but i guess i did get a lot done today. My dad went fishing for two days. That should be nice for him he has had a hard week. He was rejected from his fourth trial for a promotion, but I know my dad will never give up and some day get the promotion, but i guess for now he we enjoy some fishing. Everybody need a break every now and then, because life will and can get hard on you, but if you take the time to be selfish and treat yourself to a good day or two or more if needed. It can really change how some people set their mood for awhile. Remember though don't take to long because the real world is still going to be waiting for you when you finish being selfish (for a lack of a better term) I know when my dad comes home he goes to work with a sense of renewal and vigor. Of course he is still bummed about not getting the promotion, but he always does his best no matter what. The advice about being selfish i got from Sifu Brinker and Sifu Playter they both helped me out when i needed it they gave me a lot of other advice, this was one of the advice that did help me get through with what i was going through.

Sick, but 1000 done

Hello everyone what a long week I have had. i was sick for four days and had no idea what was wrong with me, but i am feeling a lot better now that is for sure. I was able to do the 1000 push ups and sit ups though after i wasn't sick but i got them in all in one day. So after feeling super sick all week now i feel sore but accomplished. Not much to say today, other then i have been really sick. So happy late Canada day and everyone enjoy the rest of the week.

Boot camp/Healthy Meal 6

boot camp was a great sucess and a great day. I was so sore the next day and I was happy to be that sore. To me it told me that i accomplished something that day. Also, at boot camp i found out that i am not effected by a certain pressure point and make me a freak as sifu said it lol. SO now after a hard day i give you a healthy meal.

Olive oil      1 tbsp
Chicken       5 to 10 oz
onion           1 1/2 cup
Green pepper  1 cup
Garlic clove minced     1
finely grated ginger root   1 tsp
Chilli powder             1/2 tsp
Ground cumin            1/2 tsp
tomatoes                  1 or 2  

you do not have to follow my spices that i give, I know i normally do not give spices out mainly because i never use the same amount of spice twice; it is always just an estimate. But if you want to use these measurement they should be fine.

Father's day

Hello yesterday was a fun day, me and my father went on his bike again and rode for 200 km, I did not get to drive it, but it was still fun. when we got back hope i mowed the lawn  and helped my dad put together a smoker that my mom got for free from her work. Then later in the day i took my parent out to this restaurant that had excellent food. I had to save some up some money for this but it was worth it. It feels good going out every now and then and treating your self and others to a nice meal. Me and my father ended the night by watching some of the shows that he likes to watch. So happy a little late father's day out there.

Motor Bike

Hello today me and my father went on his motor cycle and he let me drive it by myself. I did not go any further then a parking lot but i felt free and that some of the pressure and overwhelming feeling that i have been feeling lately all went away. It was nice just riding the motor bike. I hope my father will take me out more to do this again, because it wad just so relaxing. For those brief moments of me riding that bike I was at rest. This made me think of what sifu Brinker is always saying to us to just stop and think about what are you doing? How much effort are you putting into this? I realized i was using all my focus to not fall over when making left turns at low speeds, and I was spending time with my father who really cares about me. It was a nice day.

lawn work

Today for the first time I was able to cut our lawn today, because for the past couple months our lawn mower is broken. My parents were unable to buy a new one at the time. Now my Dad was able to afford a new lawn mower and i got to finally cut our 2 1/2 feet grass today, and on top of that also use the weed whacker. So now our lawn look nice again and we not be getting any waring from the park to get it cut. Also in the middle of cutting grass i stopped to do 100 push ups and 100 sit ups may as well do something i want to do. Although i think I should of not have done my sit ups on the mulched grass, took me five min to get all the grass off my back, and hair. Grass gets sticky when you sweat. Basically what I am saying is I had a great day.

Healthy Meal 5

Hello once again another meal another month so I hope you enjoy
5 oz of chicken
WHAT YOU PUT ON BEFORE YOU COOK THE CHICKEN AND WHILE YOUR COOKING THE CHICKEN (Mix the ingredients)
Olivie oil              2 tbsp
Lime juice            1 1/2 tbsp
Grated lime zest   1 1/2 tsp
Cajun Seasoning   1 tsp


Now for the salsa To put on the chicken after it is cooked
Chopped mango         1 cup
Finely diced red onion 1/4 cup
Garlic clove minced     1

Finely diced jalapeno pepper   2 tbsp
olive oil                        2 tbsp
lime juice                      1 1/2 tbsp
chopped fresh cilantro or parsley     1 tbsp
grated lime zest               1 1/2  tsp
Mix all together

 Also if you want you can slice up a tomato on the side and have that with the meal.

What to do

Hello, on Sunday May 20 I went to my grandma's to help her move out, because she was separating from her boyfriend of 30 years. Also because he was a heavy drunk. When my father and I arrived at the house we found out that my grandma's boyfriend almost committed suicide. My uncle notice the gun when he was trying to hide it, and he eventually confiscated the gun. I had no idea how to react to this, but my father knew what to do, first he checked if the gun was loaded (it was) then he called the cops, because at the time we did not know really what he was going to do with it we only assumed. The cops arrived and lots of questioning went on and then the cops found 2 more guns and confiscated them. My grandma was devastated her face was one of horror and "can this really be happening". In the end though i saw someone who I thought I knew get carried out of the house in hand cuffs. He was not charged with anything because he had the gun on the floor, but even then he does not want the guns the cops confiscated. Also, he was allowed to return to his home that day, but my grandma no longer lives there right now, she is now living with  one of my uncles. In this whole situation I did not know what to do. As much as I do love him i could no longer look him in the face and in two days he will move and be gone forever.

A good Mother's day

Hello once again I had a wonderful day with my mother we went  for supper at original joes and we also went to go see the movie The Avengers and it was a really good movie. I never thought that the Hulk could be so funny. Spending the day with loved ones should not have to wait for a special day maybe we should do more special things with our loved ones rather than waiting for a certain day.This blog I have nothing remarkable to say, but to just say I had a good time with my mother and i hope you all did the same.

Pandamoudium

Wow what a crazy day that was. I started my day at 6:30 a.m and began work at 7:30 a.m. You see I work for Coca Cola and i am a merchandiser, which means I go to store to store filling up shelves and pulling big heavy pallets of pop all day long. So I was pretty beat after my shift which was 3:15 p.m Then I went home and took a shower and and went to start pandamodium around 3:45 p.m so not much time for rest but either way that is the way I made my day. The two best moment for me at pandamodium was learning how to lion dance and doing suicides with Sifu Leets( sorry if i spelled the name wrong) Of course I loved everything, but those were the highlight of my day for me. Also, when the clock stroke 12 can't forget that. It was nice knowing that I was doing something good for a charity, and seeing all the other people there that participated. It was such a good night and now i am just plain sore all over, but couldn't be happier.

Healthy meal #4

Another healthy meal, this one is a meal my family likes to have a lot.

Steak and potatoes Healthy style

4 to 8 oz of New York strip loin (it is one of the meat with the least amount of fat on it)
Brussels sprouts ( if you do not like brussel sprout then maybe have spinach instead cooked or not it good either way, and if you don't like them, then start liking more vegetable they are good for you)

Asparagus
Mushrooms
Onions
Beets (the beets are optional, because every time we have this meal my Dad has beets, but I don't like beets)
Baby potatoes (put a little bit of butter on them and add spices it really makes a difference.)
Spices like usual Mrs. Dash

I do not specify how much for the vegetables and potatoes, because the amount for me changes every time, I never really have the same meal twice. Also same with the spices. I personally do not measure anything, when it comes to cooking. This meal is simple, and maybe you have already had it before, but it's a healthy meal.

Biking

I am a little late this week for my weekly blog but here it is. Monday I wrote my bike to Kung Fu and it was awesome. I biked a total of 22 km and when i was biking to kung fu it was day light, and when i went home it was dark. I have never biked that much distance in the dark before, but for me it was two different worlds. when i biked in the day it felt normal, but at night it seem like a whole new place. The streets were quieter, visibility for me was worse, but for some weird reason i bike faster at night. you would think that biking after kung fu it would be harder, but it is strangely easier. When I bike to kung fu I find it really hard, but when I bike home I find it better. Either way when i got home i could not walk and it hurts to stand on my feet. This is something I plan on to keep doing, because I know no matter how much I hate the pain, biking is helping me, and on the side the earth to. Because i am not putting pollution into the atmosphere with my car. It is not a huge thing, but it is something. So I encourage people to bike more often, just because it is all around good. I am know not everyone has the time, but do what you can.

1/3 of the way

well my school is almost done for this semester. I had Bio 30 prep, Physics 30 prep, and English 30-1. For my two prep classes i was told if i get over 85% average i would not have to do the final exam. I am happy to say i met those standard, and will not have to write those two final so i have less to worry about now. All i have to do now is my written test and reading test and i will be done for two weeks. Then I will be entering a 3 new classes Physics 30, Chem 30 prep, and Info Pro. So no more English yeah!!! The great thing is for these two weeks I will be able to focus more on Kung Fu and not entirely on school, can't wait. Also after that semester i will have three more courses Bio 30, Chem 30, and Math 31 and then I will be done. So lots to do, but willing to do it.

releasing stress

Sometimes you just have to stop  and take a moment for your self. Like today me, my mom, and my two friends played board games. These board games we play with each other test our strategy and our team work. Also we have lots of fun while doing these board games. These board games we play are not your ordinary type of games, you have to use your imagination, your creativity, and your problem solving skills, and even some math. For me this is a wonderful day for me, because i get to spend time with good friends, and have lots of laughs. It takes the stress away from the UBBT and school for me. today was a good day although we lost our game, I had so much fun and i feel my energy restored for the rest of the week. If you never played a board game i would strongly suggest it, just because it put your mind in a different place for awhile. Also for those who are curios the game we were playing was Arkham Horror. It has a bit of a learning curve, but don't all thing in life have a learning curve. Either way doing something that is clearly not apart of your daily retinue, is good for you every now and then. Now it is time for me to come back to the real world, but I can always think about the time I had with my friends while playing board games.

UBBT

Hey time for blogging again! this is my last semester in this month. I am finishing Bio 30 Prep Physic 30 Prep and  English 30-1. Then in the next semester i will be tackling Physics 30, info pro, and Chemistry 30 prep. Right now in my phys and bio my grade are high enough that i do not have to take the final exam, so happy about that. The only thing i have to worry about is my reading exam, and my essay exam, for English. After i am done the test I will be able to attend more classes and i can't wait. And if weather permits i will also be riding my bike more often. Things for me right now are going good, and getting better. This UBBT program is slowly changing my life, because the program tell you to work out, it tells you to practice. When in reality is what people should already be doing, it is just a better lifestyle. The UBBT may tell you what you have to do, but it does not force you to do it. You have to do it on your own. But it give you a kick in the butt to start and that is what i needed.

Healthy meal #3

Hey everyone time for another meal, this one is full of veggies so enjoy

Grilled chicken veggie mix

5 oz white chicken breast
1/2 Red/Orange/Yellow pepper chopped
1/2 medium onion diced
1/2 medium tomato diced
1 cup of fresh mushrooms sliced
1 tbsp Olive oil (for cooking with)
Spice I recommend Mrs. Dash


After cooked place on plate and add:

1/4 cup crumbled light feta cheese
2 tsp finely chopped parsley

And there you have a nice and healthy meal. Also i encourage you to be creative with these meals i am posting, make it your own. I put these ingredients on here because i like them, so if you want to change it go right ahead, because sometimes you can create something that is better than the original recipe. Have fun

Progress

Hello I am so happy today, because I found myself a bicycle and now I am determined to ride to school and kung fu. It has been so long since I last ridden a bicycle I am so excited. I am really hoping that by doing this i will be able to improve my cardio and fitness. Right now I am waiting two weeks until I get my bicycle, because it is on lay away. Also I am getting my push ups and sit ups in and i feel great. Fun fact did you know there is over a hundred uses for the word up, if you don't believe me you can check the internet out for your self. There is not only progress for me but for others around me, which makes me want to do more. Today I start to look forward to the next day , but i still appreciate the present.  And to quote a line  you all have might of heard of already, from a certain panda movie "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present." everyone have an awesome time, because i know i will.

Social problems

Hello again one of my personal goals this year is to become better at socializing, and our meeting at the UBBT for me was very intense and nerve racking. for me teaching in front of a class and talking with people is two different worlds, because when you are teaching you are in charge, but in the UBBT meeting I had to talk about myself, and how I was doing. When it came to my turn I did not even say everything i wanted to say, because i just could not handle the pressure. just standing there with everybody listing to what you are going to say. I feel like what ever i say i will be judged harshly and unfairly then looked down on, but i know that the UBBT is not this type of group, but that is how i feel, like i am not meeting your standards, even knowing the standards are my own. Talking like that in the meeting was very hard for me and i am not looking forward to more meetings, but I know it is something i must do, not only because i am supposed to show up, but for myself as well.

School

Hey everybody, time for another update. Right now I feel overwhelmed with school, with Eng 30-1, Bio 30 Prep, And Phys 30 Prep. It just gets to me some times, knowing I have kung fu as well, and sometimes I can't make it to kung fu because of school, because i have a test on Tues or Thur, and i have to use the day before to study for it, which makes me miss kung fu. it is so frustrating. So now I take a deep breath in and exhale and continue on my journey, because this will all be worth it someday. Before in my younger days i would look at all this working against me, making me jump hurdles, but now i know this is all to help me, i may not always get to go to Kung fu, but i still do some kung fu at home. So frustration is just letting you know your trying, or someone is being annoying. :)

Miss Comunication

This week was my Mom's Anniversary and we had to through two separate parties, one for family, and one for friends.  Well i was told that I had to get a cake for both party's. So I did when we got to the first party I brought the cake in, and a friend looked at me with a Oh No face, then told me that he bought a cake too. So on that night my Mom got two cakes. On the next party i brought my cake once again, and guess what my relatives also bought a cake, so in two night, my mom got four cakes. So basically what i learn from this is next time call and find out for sure who is in charge of getting the cake. All in all it was two great nights, to much cake and laughs all around, and i still got my U.B.B.T stuff in as well.

Healthy Meals #2

 Hey everyone it is time for my second healthy meal. What i will put down here is just enough for one Fajita. If you would like a second Fajita, just double the recipe.

Fajitas:
 1 flour tortilla
3 ounces of grilled chicken or 3 ounces of steak
1/2 cup grilled onions and green peppers
1/2 cup mushrooms ( you do not need to put mushrooms in it if you want I just like mushrooms)
2 tablespoons of salsa 
1 tablespoon  sour cream
For spice use Mrs. Dash( I  do not normally say which spices to use, because i never measure, nor do I use the same spices all the time.)

The thing with this recipe is moderation and how much salsa you use and sour cream. Surprisingly enough buying some low fat products come with a different bite, and that is HIGH sodium. So be careful when buying low fat products. You are allowed sodium, but in moderation if you want to put less sour cream and salsa go ahead. Also the sauces does not have to be limit to just what i put up there you can have other sauces if you would like. You can use 1 tablespoon of avocado if you like instead, it is high in fat but good fat, fat that helps burn fat. So I hope you enjoy and now only ten of my healthy recipes to go.

Busy Day

What a day today woke went to silent river Kung fu to help out with the destruction, which went really well, lots of people showed up, and we even finished early than expected. After all of that i went grocery shopping, for some vegetables and meats. when i got home i worked on my physics assignment, then wrote two essays, for school, and now of course writing this blog. I am sure other people have had more crazy day than me, but it has been awhile since i had to do so much in one day, but all in all a pretty good day. It feels good to get a lot accomplished in one day.

limitaions

You should know what your limitations are, because if you don't you might just make yourself worse. Like me for example i thought i could push through my sickness and went to my class, it made me worse. the next day I had to go to work and again i thought i could push through my second mistake, I had four big stores to take care of and i was only able to do 2, which took me seven and a half hours. Where normally i would do all four stores with less time. Now i am worst than ever, because I chose to ignore my body, which was telling me to slow down, I am now much sicker. So the lesson i learned was to pay attention to what my body is trying to tell me.

Good way to start

What is more inspirational then to see a fellow student get promoted to black belt. Every year when i go to the black belt ceremony it reminds me why i am in Kung fu and what it means to be in kung fu. Not only does it mentally and physically make you a more fit and knowledgeable person, but it also makes you a better person who contributes to society. Even after you get the black belt you have only just started your journey. It is something I look forward to doing someday. All in all it turn out to be a great night, and very inspiring, nothing like a well run banquet to get your motor going.

Healthy Meals

this is one of twelve healthy recipes i will post and once a month I post a healthy meal.This meal i am showing you is a really good filler, it is healthy and will fill you up. Also will have low sodium (Salt).
1 cup Spinach ( for the spinach if you want you add more because it will shrink  to much smaller than a golf ball)
1 cup of diced tomatoes(not canned tomatoes)
1 cup of diced mushrooms(not canned mushrooms)
1/2 cup of cottage cheese (when cooked it is just cheese)
1 tsp low sodium butter
4 to 8 oz of beef or 5 to 10 oz of chicken or shrimp( remember if you want to have more meat in this meal you shouldn't have to much more for the rest of the day)
1 cup pasta
I did not put pork in their, because it is normally high in sodium. For spices i will leave that up to you, and i would suggest to use Mrs. Dash spices, because all their spices have really low sodium. For cooking i just throw everything in a pan,  except the pasta of course. So that is it that is my first recipe of the year still 11 more to go. Hope you enjoy

Failure

Failure, even though we never want it to happen when it does we feel bad, or disappointed. Now i know some people might always say focus on the success in life, and not the failures, but today i say look at your failures today, because your success just means your already good at it, and you have might of learn of what you can do.but your failures say what you could not do yet, or what you need to improve on. Like what happen to me today i failed to help out with shoveling the driveways, but from that i learned to check more than one source for information on who is going to shovel the driveways, that day. I personally think that everyone needs failure in life, because without them there is no room to grow, and no room to improve upon one's self. I challenge any one who reads this if you want, find something in your life that you failed, or even failed today, and looked at it and try and grab what positive lesson you can find in that failure. Like I said, you can't grow, if you never look at your failures.

bumpy start

hey, i am having one heck of a start for blogging, to me all of this seem to me very confusing, but it will be something i will have to work through. I have been doing school for a week now and i don't know what i am supposed to be learning, or remembering. This science stuff is a whole new world for me so , i am a little confused. Even though this may be a rough start to my year I will not give up, i will figure it out, and keep a positive outlook, because I believe that what you put out there you get back. If you put negative energy then you will get the negative outcomes you expected, but if you put out positive energy, you sometime get the better thing to happen to you. But I am still not ruling out hard work.

New beginnings

I am currently upgrading at Norquest so I can go to the U of A  to become a geologist. This is my first blog for the first of the year, and normally I don't have much to say , so I guess I will start off with a HAPPY NEW YEARS!! This is just the beginning and there is for sure more to come.
