my weight

hello everyone i was thinking about what some people were saying about my scale, that maybe i should throw it out, or switch to measuring or just use the mirror only to see how my progress is going. To tell you the truth they all sound like great ideas and i think i will use all of them except throw out my scale. I may not be able to tell weather i am gaining weight because of fat or because of muscle, but i can tell you i will not give power to the number i post on here anymore. I will still post them the only difference would be is that i will take measurements as well, and judge myself in the mirror, does it look like i got smaller or do the numbers reflect. I am still going to try and lose weight of course i just won't be as bummed anymore if it goes slightly up or down then back up again, because i know i will eventually get to my goal.

  1. A good way to go is to use the scale along with your measurements because then you will have an idea what is happening. Example: scale stayed the same and you lost a bunch of inches = you lost body fat. To a scale a pound is a pound is a pound whereas a tape measure and the camera don't lie. Good for you for doing the shift as it will save your sanity. :)

  2. I go by how my clothes feel personally. If they feel tighter, I probably gained weight if they all feel a bit more snug. If they feel looser, I probably lost. I gained 9 lbs since December, which for a tiny person like me is alot but I'm pretty sure most of it is muscle and only a bit in my stomach, but my clothes are telling me that, the scale is just a guide. Gaining weight sometimes can be a good thing. Definitely don't just go strictly by what your scale is telling you, it'll just stress you out. :)
